Hollywood - is a district in Los Angeles, situated west-northwest downtown LA, known as the historical center of movie studios and movi stars. Many historic Hollywood theatres are used as venues and concert stages to premiere major theatrical releases and host the Academy awards. It is a popular destination for nightlife and tourism and home to the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

The Kodak Theatre - is a live theatre which opened in 2001 on Hollywood Boulevard at Highland Avenue, where the historic Hollywood Hotel once stood, has become the new home of the Oscars. While motion picture production still occurs within the Hollywood district, most major studios are actually located elsewhere in the Los Angeles region. Paramount Pictures is the only major studio still physically located within Hollywood. Since its opening on November 9, 2001, the theatre has been the home of the annual Academy Awards Ceremonies, The Oscar. It has a very nice interior structure with expensive shops and the grand staircase entrance columns hall to the Kodak Theatre is flanked by columns displaying the names of winners of the Academy Award of best pictures and Movie of the year. Besides, The Kodak Theatre is most commonly used for public cultural events such as concerts, shows, and performances. And tours are available for those who is interested to walk in to the grand hall and of course tickets need to be reserved.

Hollywood Boulevard is a boulevard in Hollywood, LA beginning at Sunset Boulevard in the east and running northwest to Vermont Avenue, where it straightens out and runs due to west of Laurel Canyon. West of Laurel Canyon it continues as a small residential street in the hills, finally ending at Sunset Plaza Drive. On the east side of Hollywood Boulevard it passes through the neighborhoods of Little America and Thai Town. .Grauman's Chinese Theatre - is movie theatre located along the Hollywood Walk of Fame with most distinctive features are the concrete blocks set in the forecourt, which bear the signatures, footprints, and handprints of popular motion picture personalities from the 1920s to the present day. If you are interested to see the superB interior of this theatre, you can always go to the website for a glance. We didn't manage to go in, but you can if you have a movie ticket on hand XD I regretted for not going it - so if you have a chance to go in for a nice and expensive movie, please do so! And because all the building structures are so HUGE in the states, unable to capture a really nice picture BUT you can view the panoramic view here if you want to. Its a really really nice place!

Michael Jackson the pop star - one said they worshiped at the wrong print. This print is meant for another person named MJ as well. This you gotta check it yourself!

Hollywood Sign - sits on Mount Lee, the tallest peak in Los Angeles. It measures 450 feet long and each letter is 45 feet tall. Its a very famous landmark in Hollywood area and at times, its really really difficult to find, unless you have a good driver - like I do. Hehe. I heard some of my friends had been complaining for ONLY able to see the sign from far but not as near as you can take near photos of the sign, so I am really glad that we made it up! The houses along the hill are really really huge, nice and awesome! So if you are trying to get your way up to the sign, please do not give up because you need few attempts! Or you can always see the fake sign in Hollywood Studios Haha! LOL =p We took tons of pictures with the sign because well, its really hard to get there! Enjoy the pictures XD Most of them with wide lens & fisheye by WCChen, a.k.a Toitoi our darling. I really love the pictures by him. And we miss them already!

Chloe : Nope, Ian doesn't like Canon oooppss haha he said if buying canon only buy high-ends, and well pictures in this post, taken by Nikon and also Canon. My friend using Canon and Ian using Nikon. But I guess the pics make you drool are those taken with different lenses. I personally love fish-eyes!

Oh yeah, its costly to travel but to travel from Mal its even much much more expensive, so I guess maybe that's the ONLY advantage studying in Russia! LOL =p
